17.11.1978:
Rolf Wachendorff founds Wachendorff
Prozesstechnik and begins importing electronic devices for use
in industry.
1985:
His sons Dr. Peter and Robert Wachendorff join the
family business. A new additional business is created,
Wachendorff Elektronik, that designs, manufactures and markets
industrial operator panels and rotary encoders.
1990:
Wachendorff moves into premises in Industriestrasse 7 in
Geisenheim, which they subsequently take over in 2007.
1995:
A special request from a customer gives rise to a further
core competence: the development and manufacture of rugged
automotive operator panels for mobile machines, municipal
vehicles and agricultural machinery.
2002:
Wachendorff takes its first step towards global trading by
founding the OEI Elektronic Inc. company in Chicago.
2004:
Wachendorff documents its high standards of Quality
Management and Environmental Protection with its certification
to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 and DIN EN ISO 14001:2005.
2005:
The encoder business is spun off into a new subsidiary,
Wachendorff Automation. The Wachendorff Group now comprises
3 companies.
2006:
Wachendorff wins the Raiffeisen- and Volksbank prize for
being the most innovative medium-sized company in all of
Germany.
2007:
Wachendorff is selected as a successful innovative company
to host an event day within the framework of the programme
"365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas".
2008:
Wachendorff now employs over 160 staff - the trend
continues upwards. |
